IT management assistant

  • School-leaving qualification: intermediate secondary school qualification (mittlere Reife) or certificate for entry to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
  • Duration: 3 years, final examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)
  • Tasks: analysing problems and tasks within the company, IT and telecommunications system solutions, procuring hardware and software, advising and supporting specialist departments, adapting and installing application systems and organising system management, advice and training for users

Industrial mechanic

  • School-leaving qualification: good lower secondary school qualification (Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate secondary school qualification (mittlere Reife)
  • Duration: 3.5 years, final examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)
  • Tasks: manual and mechanical metalworking techniques, reading and using technical documentation, operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, assembling and disassembling devices and systems

Bachelor of Engineering, specialising in Mechanical Engineering

  • School-leaving qualification: advanced secondary school qualification (Abitur) (ideally with technical specialisation)
  • Duration: 3 years, alternating every 3 months between practical phases at Roto and theoretical phases at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University
  • Tasks: theoretical knowledge is supplemented by technical and industrial tasks in various areas such as development, design, planning, production, work preparation, occupational safety, marketing and sales

Bachelor of Engineering, specialising in Industrial Engineering

  • School-leaving qualification: advanced secondary school qualification (Abitur) or certificate for entry to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
  • Duration: 3 years, alternating every 3 months between practical phases at Roto and theoretical phases at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University
  • Tasks: product marketing, sales, purchasing, development, design and controlling

Bachelor of Science, specialising in Information Systems

  • School-leaving qualification: advanced secondary school qualification (Abitur) or certificate for entry to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
  • Duration: 3 years, alternating every 3 months between practical phases at Roto and theoretical phases at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University
  • Tasks: IT, purchasing, accounting, human resources, marketing, controlling and sales

  • Tasks: developing products made of various materials using a computer, creating 3D sketches using special CAD programs, from drafts to calculations and test runs until the product is ready for series production, including the associated technical documentation

Cutting machine mechanic

  • School-leaving qualification: certificate for entry to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
  • Duration: 3.5 years
  • Tasks: producing metallic precision components, setting up turning, milling and grinding machines, working with CNC machines, checking dimensions and surface quality, maintenance / inspection tasks on machine

Machinery and plant operator

  • School-leaving qualification: certificate for entry to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
  • Duration: 2 years
  • Tasks: preparing test procedures, checking machine functions at test rigs, commissioning machines, monitoring and controlling the material flow and production process, inspecting and maintaining machines

Electronic industrial engineers

  • School-leaving qualification: certificate for entry to a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
  • Duration: 3.5 years
  • Area of responsibility: installation of electrical components, maintenance and repair, programming and checking systems

Storage logistics specialist

  • School-leaving qualification: intermediate secondary school qualification (mittlere Reife)
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Area of responsibility: receiving and shipping goods, stock control, order placement, order picking, loading goods

Specialist warehouse clerk

  • School-leaving qualification: lower secondary school qualification (Hauptschulabschluss)
  • Duration: 2 years
  • Area of responsibility: receiving and shipping goods, stock control, order placement, order picking, loading goods
