Roto AL Designo is the elegant fully concealed hardware for large and heavy aluminium windows up to 180 kg sash weight. It meets the most stringent demands of planners and architects with regard to perfect appearance, functionality and ease of fabrication.
The top model in the aluminium sector is of a modular design based on the proven Roto modular principle and can be integrated into almost all Euro-chamber profile systems.

Sash height up to 3.000 mm

The maximum sash height of the Roto AL Designo 180 kg is 3000 mm.

Without load transfer from a sash width of 735 mm and up to 130 kg

  • Using a reinforced corner hinge and a pivot rest – also reinforced – from the Roto AL Designo hardware product range completely does away with the need to install load transfer up to a sash weight of 130 kg.
  • The Roto AL Designo fully concealed hardware is therefore opening up new possibilities in the design of window elements with regard to their height / width ratio, too.
  • From a minimum sash width of 735 mm, the new component combination can be used to produce all common sash widths and heights.

When it comes to design and functionality, the Roto AL Designo sets standards with the fully concealed hinge side for large aluminium windows. All components apart from the handle are integrated into the window frame and the sash so that they are invisible from the outside, with nothing marring the window’s appearance.

Unique is the combination of clamping block and clamp-strip with an integrated piercing screw for solid interlocking and positive fitting clamping of the hinge side.

The braked and dampened opening restrictor is specially harmonised to the hardware system and allows very sophisticated tenders to be submitted.

With lockable stop function the maximum sash opening angle can be adjusted and set. A sash can only be fully opened by unlocking the stop function, e.g. for cleaning purposes.

Relocking a sash that has been fully opened using a key is facilitated. The defined restriction is reactivated simply by passing over the stop. Additional locking with the key is not necessary.

Installation

Hardware installation

Roto AL Designo is the first choice when the focus is on maximum durability, ease of operation and security as well as quick fabrication:

  • Durable Torx drive units on frame and sash components for quick and fatigue-free assembly
  • Corner drive with a plug-in clamping fork for tool-free assembly
  • Fixed dimensions (T4/T5) ensure that striker positions are easy to determine and enable the connecting-rods to be cropped for a high manufacturing quality.
