Perfect Match for timber and PVC external doors / New: two designs in the “Roto Eifel” threshold range / Deventer floor door seals for greater protection and comfort
Leinfelden-Echterdingen – As a full-range supplier, Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH provides manufacturers of external doors and balcony doors with products including thresholds and floor door seals – for improved protection against draughts, heat loss, noise, dirt and moisture. Thresholds for timber and PVC doors now come in a choice of two attractive designs. Easy-to-install and low-maintenance floor door seals from Deventer form an additional barrier behind the threshold. The Roto Sales team offers advice on how to use the thresholds and seals, and helps to precisely adapt them to a door manufacturer’s systems and production processes. Thanks to Roto’s system expertise, all components work together exactly as they should.

Impressive functions
With their installation height of just 20 mm, the thermally broken thresholds from the “Roto Eifel TB” line set the benchmark for thermal insulation, durability and installation reliability. They are compatible with many timber and PVC doors in various depths, allowing them to be seamlessly integrated into a variety of door systems – no matter whether they open inwards or outwards, or are designed as a single- or double-leafed solution. This makes these versatile thresholds perfect for new builds and renovations alike, providing energy efficiency and noticeable comfort in any application. The extensive selection of accessories with their carefully considered details makes the thresholds incredibly long-lasting solutions.
Attractive appearance
Roto offers thresholds for integration into different profile series, in the form of the “Eifel TB | Curve” proven rounded profile and the new angular model, “Eifel TB | Edge”. The “Design” weather profile strip, made from anodised aluminium, also comes in both versions. It drains driving rain away, extends the service life of the door and keeps indoor areas dry – it may look subtle, but it’s an incredibly effective solution.
Also beneficial for manufacturers of balcony doors
The “Roto NX | C” concealed Tilt&Turn hinge side can be combined with the thresholds from the “Roto Eifel TB” range. The result? Accessible threshold solutions and a modern design throughout.
The Perfect Match for external doors
Deventer’s portfolio includes drop down seals that are compatible with the thresholds for door systems with a 12 mm profile groove. They are concealed in the hardware groove. The “DDM 1212” with a minimal installation height of just 12 mm, as well as the “DDS 1220” and “DDS 1230” self-regulating drop down seals, are simply screwed in from below. All that can be seen of the “DDS 1220” drop down seal on the outer side of the door is a premium aluminium track, which covers the black PVC seal. There is no need for metal or PVC brackets – which would detract from the appearance – to protect against damage to the frame profile.
Low-maintenance drop down seals
All three drop down seals have single-sided release, which makes it easy to crop them to size and adjust them. The internal mechanics can be fully removed on the release side even after installation – a major advantage for maintenance. The door does not need to be unhinged, no mounting bracket needs to be unscrewed. No tools are required.
Eberhard Mammel, Director of Marketing and Product Innovation at Roto Window and Door Technology, highlights the benefits of the global Roto Door product range – consisting of threshold and floor door seals, door locks and door hinges: “Roto hardware and sealing technology complement each other perfectly.”
