“Roto Solid C” concealed door hinge and turn restrictor for modern aluminium doors

Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Many homeowners want their entrance area to create a striking first impression, which is why they opt for aluminium main doors with clear lines and concealed hinges. Against this backdrop, there’s growing demand for “Roto Solid C | C7.140”, a door hinge which offers the desired concealed appearance while being simple to install. New videos from Roto Window and Door Technology clearly show just how efficient installation and adjustment are. In particular, they’re a very helpful tool for fitters and installers who don’t work with concealed door hinges on a regular basis, and offer additional certainty in every operation step. All videos and further information are available on the Roto website: ftt.roto-frank.com/en/solid-c

Mounting leaves using “FixClick”

With the “Solid C” door hinge, the “FixClick” function is gaining traction in practice. Instead of having to carry out laborious and risky screwdriving work when mounting leaves, now all it takes is a single click and the leaf is fixed in place! To do this, the locking wedges are secured in the frame hinge and the door leaf effortlessly clicks into place in the hinges that were previously installed.

Adjustable in three dimensions

A standout feature is the convenient height adjustment of the concealed “Solid C” with an adjustment range of +4 / -2 mm. The height is adjusted via a single central adjustment point – a standard accessory component that is installed with two screws beneath the lowest of the three door hinges. At the same time, two other generous adjustment options are offered in the form of ±3 mm lateral adjustment and ±1 mm gasket compression adjustment.

Convenient and maintenance-free

The 3D adjustment, which takes just a few steps, ensures that a main door looks good while fulfilling its intended function for a long time to come. The self-lubricating bush on the hinges does away with the need for maintenance. Their concealed mechanics make it easier to clean the door rebate.

Robust and secure

“Solid C” door hinges are designed for leaves weighing up to 140 kg and are suitable for use in burglar inhibiting doors according to RC 2 and SKG**. They have been tested over 400,000 opening cycles in accordance with DIN EN 1191. The maximum opening angle is 110°. The right-hand and left-hand sides of the “Solid C” are symmetrical, so only a few parts need to be kept in stock.

The better alternative to a door stop

The “Solid” turn restrictor for aluminium doors makes the perfect addition to the concealed door hinge: it limits the opening width specified by the “Solid C” hinge, prevents the door from being pulled open too forcefully and dampens the end stop. All that can be seen of it in the upper rebate when the door is open is its subtle rotating arm. The opening width can be individually adjusted by positioning the slide bar in the frame and can be set up to 125°.

Perfect Match in two colours

“Solid C” door hinges come in black and silver. The “Solid” turn restrictor is available in black and in polished stainless steel. In black, both components seamlessly blend into door systems in dark tones like the popular shade RAL 7016. The stainless steel version of “Solid” turn restrictor is a Perfect Match for stainless steel handles and stainless steel decorative covers, as well as the “Solid C” door hinges in silver.

Durable and reliable

The door hinges achieve corrosion resistance class 5, while the turn restrictor complies with class 4. This means that aluminium doors equipped with these hardware components are also suitable for challenging ambient conditions.
