Streamlined production processes
“Window manufacturers see our ‘Roto Patio Alversa’ sliding hardware as a real problem-solver, especially nowadays,” reports Heike Holfelder, Product Manager for Sliding at Roto Window and Door Technology. The reason? This can be used in streamlined processes and combines the advantages of Tilt&Turn technology for sealing with the comfort of large sliding elements. Plenty of daylight, space-saving opening, flexible ventilation comfort – there are many good reasons to recommend sliding elements and have a stock of models available in different price segments.
Minimal. Universal.
The modular design of the “Roto Patio Alversa” hardware system simplifies and speeds up production, installation, storage and logistics alike. Up to four different versions can be produced on the same line without major conversion and with many of the same parts. Components such as roller units, the central locking system, sliding scissor stays, the track set and handle lever are identical on all models. Manufacturers who use “Roto NX” or “Roto AL” already have most of these components in stock, as they’re also used to produce Tilt&Turn elements. Just a few extra components need to be added if a higher lever of operating convenience, ventilation comfort or burglary protection is required. The result? A cost-efficient sliding door solution.
Comfort for every requirement
Sliding elements with tilt or night ventilation can be produced with the same “Alversa” hardware. This is available for all frame materials and for sashes weighing up to 200 kg. The “Alversa | KS” Tilt&Slide hardware is the entry-level version. The “Alversa | PS Air” Parallel Tilt&Slide model offers a little more convenience thanks to its built-in opening damping. “Alversa | PS Air Com” also boasts comfort ventilation controlled via the handle for use in residential properties: turning the handle lever tilts the sash automatically. There is no need to pull the sash manually.
Safe to use in public spaces
The “Alversa | PS” hardware version creates a Parallel Sliding element which can be equipped with optional night ventilation. This means a room can be ventilated for the whole day even if the element is installed on the ground floor where there is a risk of break-ins, for instance. When viewed from outside, the sash that is retracted all around looks as if it is locked. The night ventilation as well as the robust durability and self-explanatory, intuitive operating logic make a sliding element equipped with the “Alversa I PS” hardware version ideal for public spaces.
Burglary protection and locking monitoring
“Roto Quadro Safe” security components, like security mushroom cams, security strikers and a lockable handle, allow every “Alversa” sliding element to be produced in accordance with resistance class RC 2. Sensors from the “Roto Com-Tec” range, for example, perform locking and opening monitoring. Locked, opened or tilted: the sensors share this information wirelessly. The status can be checked at any time via app. With “Roto E-Tec | Control”, an “Alversa” element can also be integrated into wired monitoring systems. This way, the burglary protection is flexibly adapted to individual security needs and the existing installations in a building.
Three handle designs
Handles for an “Alversa” sliding elements are available in three designs to match the Tilt&Turn handles from Roto. The choice includes handles from the “Roto Line”, “Roto Swing” and – from autumn 2026 onwards – “Roto Square” design lines. All “Alversa” sliding door versions are operated in the same way as Tilt&Turn windows.
