Roto NX arrestable brake stay

Anyone who is building a home for their own family will also be interested in the details of and new developments in the fenestration industry. How can you make windows and doors secure? What makes them more durable and makes everyday life simpler? For example combining Roto NX Turn-Only or Tilt&Turn hardware with an arrestable brake stay. It can be paired with a concealed or surface-mounted hinge side and is available for profile systems with a 16 mm groove.

For all frame materials

The NX arrestable brake stay can be installed in PVC, timber and aluminium windows of any size. It can also be retrofitted. The sash only needs to be unhinged if it is a floor-to-ceiling window.

Its benefits: the window, which is opened like usual with the horizontal handle position, can be locked in a turn position between 15° and 90° by simply moving the handle back into the locked position. This protects the window profile and reveal from damage caused by the open sash slamming shut or swinging open in windy conditions. To release the lock, the handle is returned to the horizontal turn position (90°) and the sash is either closed or opened further, as desired, and locked again if necessary.

Installation on the line

To install an NX arrestable brake stay, a sash lifter is fitted instead of the usual lifting mishandling device that comes as standard. If a window is to comply with resistance class RC 2, the positioning of the additional strikers is planned according to the positioning of the arrestable brake stay. If the window is forcefully operated incorrectly in a way that pushes the sash beyond 90°, the hinge side is protected against major damage. The mount for the scissor stay in the frame component will break, but this is easy to replace.
