“Roto Square” offers ergonomic handles with a design characterised by edges

Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Designs which are shaped by clear outlines and make a striking expression are what people want, wherever they are in the world. This is what interior designers and window and door manufacturers are saying. Roto Window and Door Technology, with its new “Roto Square”, handle line is demonstrating how this style can be paired with a high level of operating convenience. The handles impress with their pleasant feel and precise finish. This is how they strike the perfect balance between form and function.

The range of products introduced at the initial stage is extensive enough to give all of a building’s windows, sliding elements and external doors a consistent handle design. Technical versions including Secustik, lockable handle variants and “TiltFirst” make it possible to create solutions with the same design but with different functions and security features – tailored to the specific requirements in the building.

Extensive portfolio, clear lines

Inken Kannchen, Product Manager for Handles at Roto Window and Door Technology, describes the concept behind “Roto Square”: “The new handle line, with its consistent appearance shaped by edges, embodies a clear, modern design without compromising on comfort. The Cubist style has been brought to life in an ergonomically friendly way, and this concept has been incorporated throughout an extensive portfolio.”

The wide range of products introduced at the initial stage includes window handles in standard and long-lever versions, balcony door and narrow-plate sets plus special handle levers for the “Roto Patio Inowa” / “Inowa | Max”, “Roto Patio Alversa” and “Roto Patio Lift” sliding systems. As such, a consistent solution with an impressive design is created from the very outset, across all applications.

Security included

With Secustik, Roto integrates an effective security concept into the handle itself. The blocking mechanism enables the window to be operated in the usual way from the inside, while providing reliable protection against unauthorised tampering from the outside. The characteristic clicking noise that can be heard upon actuation signals that the mechanism is activated and provides clear confirmation that it is working.

Handles are also available with a key or push-to-open mechanism if increased security is required. The handle lever in the “Roto Square” range prevents sliding elements from being opened unintentionally. It can only be moved from the locked position at 0° to the opening position at 180° when an integrated locking button is pressed down at the same time.

Efficiency thanks to VarioFit
“Roto Square” impresses when it comes to cost-effectiveness too. If window handles have integrated VarioFit technology, the spindle length is automatically adapted to different window profiles. This means fewer items need to be kept in stock to cover many profile systems and frame materials – for reduced complexity, optimised process and more certain planning in window and balcony door protection.

Five surfaces as standard

The distinctive shape of the handle has an even greater impact when it is paired with a suitable surface. With Traffic white; Jet black, matt; Natural silver; Titanium and Bronze, “Roto Square” offers a selection of attractive colours even in the standard range. Roto also creates individual special surfaces on request, for greater design freedom.

A clear benefit to the product range

“With its new, fourth design line, Roto is expanding its range of handles for windows and doors with the addition of another design option,” summarises Kannchen. “The clear design language characterised by edges can be consistently incorporated into different applications and paired with a high level of operating convenience.”
