“Roto Patio Inowa” and “Inowa | Max”
The parallel retraction sliding hardware is available as “Roto Patio Inowa” for sash weights of up to 250 kg and “Roto Patio Inowa | Max” for sash weights of up to 400 kg. With its innovative technology, the system sets the standard in sealing and operating convenience. Through the active control of circumferential locking points, sliding systems achieve a level of sealing that is usually only possible with Tilt&Turn windows. The system reliably protects against draughts, rain and external noise, even in extreme weather conditions and in multi-storey buildings with high wind loads.
The hardware comes in two versions, making it suitable for sliding elements, from small to large, and ensuring maximum operating convenience even with a sash height of up to 3600 mm or a sash width of up to 3000 mm. The Soft functions offer extra comfort. They gently brake the sash before the final position is reached when opening and closing. Elements which meet the requirements of resistance RC 2 can be made from any frame material. What’s more, a low, very long sliding window system can be produced up to a frame width of 4000 mm, for example, using “Inowa | Max”.
For a long time now, many fabricators of “Inowa” and “Inowa | Max” have been enjoying the benefits of Deventer sealing profiles optimally tailored to the system. Two new thresholds now further enhance the perfect match for the two versions of the hardware system.
Accessible: “Comfort” threshold
The new “Comfort” threshold, which is barrier-free in accordance with DIN EN 18040, can be used with the “Inowa” and “Inowa | Max” hardware versions in timber and timber-aluminium systems with inward running sashes. The thermally broken threshold is fully recessed into the floor and can be rolled over in line with class 5 from ift guideline BA-01/1. This solution, available from the end of May, is ideal for floor-to-ceiling glazing. The building connection is also impressive, boasting conformity with DIN 18195 and DIN 18531 to 18535.
Masterful flexibility: “Flex” threshold
The new “Flex” thermally broken threshold is designed for timber and timber-aluminium elements with outward running sashes based on “Inowa” and “Inowa | Max”. It can be recessed into the floor inside the room or completely surface mounted. If it is recessed, an assembly height of as low as 4 mm can be achieved. The height of the entire assembly, including the roller track, is 22 mm. The “Flex” threshold will be available at the end of 2026. The ‘Flex’ threshold will be available from the end of 2026.
Both solutions are compatible with various profile systems. Sophisticated hardware sets allow many of the same parts to be used. Clever snap-in connections mean that both thresholds are easy to install and tightly sealed using only minimal liquid sealant.
Clearly contoured: “Roto Square” lever handle
With the new “Roto Square”, the manufacturer is extending its handle line with the addition of a model that reflects the latest trends in contemporary architecture. The angular design inspired by Cubism extends through the shaft of the handle, the transitions and escutcheon, and reflects the latest trends in facades and interiors. The variety of different models lives up to the claim of the perfect match: “Roto Square” is suitable for sliding elements, windows, external door, balcony door and patio doors. Versions with different technology, such as standard, Secustik®, lockable, push-to-open and TiltFirst, cover a wide range of requirements. A real highlight is the integrated VarioFit® technology. This automatically adapts the spindle length to different window profiles, making installation flexible and reducing logistics expenditure and storage requirements.
The new “Roto Square”, designed as a lever handle for sliding systems, also offers standout functions: the ergonomic shape ensures a high level of operating convenience, while an integrated locking button prevents inadvertent opening. The handle can only be turned from the locked position at 0° to the opening position at 180° when the button is pressed down. The lever handle will be available for sliding elements made from any frame material with “Inowa” and “Inowa | Max” from themiddle of the year onwards. This will be followed by versions for “Roto Patio Alversa” and “Roto Patio Lift”, as well as models for Tilt&Turndoors, in the summer.
“Roto Patio Lift | Slim” for large Lift&Slide elements with slender profiles
This hardware system offers first-class operating convenience and increased burglary protection. The easy-to-install “Slim roller unit” can support sash weights of up to 400 kg and is impressively smooth to operate. The fact that the sash profile doesn’t need to be routed in the area of the roller units boosts efficiency in production. An “MVS-B” contact from the “Roto E-Tec Control” range, which is integrated into the frame, and a hardware-coupled magnet on the espagnolette side make electronic locking and opening monitoring of the Lift&Slide element possible. Using drilling protection, an anti-jemmy device and security-relevant components from the relevant system supplier, as well as standard strikers and an espagnolette, makes the “Lift | Slim” Lift&Slide hardware RC 2-compatible. The new “Roto Square” lever handle adds the finishing touch to the contemporary look.
“Roto Patio Inline | SR” for extremely slim aluminium profiles
Using this robust Parallel Sliding hardware, manufacturers can flexibly produce aluminium elements to meet their customers’ needs and in many formats. Elements up to a height of 3000 mm and a width of 2000 mm with a sash weight of up to 200 kg are feasible. The steel hooks integrated into the espagnolette boast an exceptionally high pull-out strength and make the hardware a “compact powerhouse”. “Inline | SR” is easy to install and adjust. Various adjustment options make it possible to easily compensate for construction tolerances due to thermal influences in the event of warping. The system uses height adjustable tandem roller units. These are easy to install and to adjust during mounting. The high quality of the hardware minimises the risk of complaints, while its stability and robustness make the building element more stable and robust, therefore increasing customer satisfaction. “Inline | SR” boasts the highest level of corrosion protection in accordance with DIN EN 1670. All hardware components meet the requirements of class 5. The system has been tested over 20,000 cycles in accordance with long-term functional performance class H3.
“Roto Patio Alversa”: Minimal. Universal
One Tilt&Slide and three Parallel Sliding solutions including different ventilation functions for sash weights from 160 to 200 kg in all frame materials – that’s what the RC 2-compatible “Roto Patio Alversa” universal hardware offers. The modular system design means all four versions can be produced on one and the same production line. This hardware uses many identical parts, boosting efficiency especially for window manufacturers who produce their Tilt&Turn elements with “Roto NX” or “Roto AL”, as the universal central locking system in “Alversa” comes from these Tilt&Turn systems.
The most commonly used version is the “Roto Patio Alversa | PS” Parallel Sliding solution with night ventilation which cannot be seen from the outside. Compatible contact elements for electronic opening monitoring, which can be surface-mounted or concealed, come from the “Roto E-Tec Control” product range. The “SP 7603” sash overlap seal from Deventer ensures optimum sealing closure. It is made from thermoplastic elastomer foam, offers increased thermal and sound insulation, and is suitable for all frame materials. In future, it will be possible to equip all four versions of “Alversa” with the “Roto Square” lever handle.
