Fensterbau Frontale: Perfect Match for external doors made from any frame material

Leinfelden-Echterdingen – For door manufacturers worldwide, the Door line from Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH offers a full range of products for PVC, timber and aluminium external doors. Main door hinges, multipoint locks and thresholds from Roto, plus door seals from Deventer, can be precisely coordinated as system components – for greater operating convenience, burglary protection, sound and thermal insulation. The manufacturer’s Sales department can now also provide advice on the new products showcased at Fensterbau Frontale 2026 in the virtual “Roto City”.

New: “Eifel TB | Edge” threshold

External doors need sophisticated threshold systems. The “Roto Eifel” product range contains solutions that are extremely easy to work with and ideal for all doors. Alongside the proven “Eifel TB | Curve” with its rounded design, there’s also the new, angular “Eifel TB | Edge”. Just like the compatible “Design Edge” weather profile strip, these add clear, rectangular design elements to timber and PVC doors. In addition to compatible Deventer drop down seals, the wide range of accessories includes practical detailed solutions for optimised threshold functionality and durability – from aero stops to additional profiles.

New: “Cross Tec” series of thresholds

The new, modular “Roto Cross Tec” threshold range embodies the next generation of thermally broken Roto thresholds for single- and double-leafed main doors, balcony doors and patio doors. “Cross Tec” combines high energy efficiency with a design that’s extremely easy to work with. The patented “Click” mounting system makes the thresholds quick and precise to install.

The line is made up of two different versions: “Cross Tec | Classic” for universal threshold heights up to 20 mm and “Cross Tec | Zero” as a true 0 mm solution for accessible construction according to DIN EN 18040. The product range, which will be available at the end of 2026, is rounded off by compatible coupling elements and a wide selection of accessories for installation and mounting.

Two threshold versions for greater efficiency in production

The “Custom” model is perfect for making door production more efficient. Roto can crop and preassemble the “Cross Tec | Classic” and “Cross Tec | Zero” thresholds at the factory if requested. This allows fabricators to join the threshold directly with the frame on the production line. This saves time in door production, minimises the risk of mistakes and reduces the workload involved in storing and transporting components. No wet sealant is required when working with the “Custom” model, as a dry seal provides the necessary sealing effect between the profile and threshold.

The “Kit” version provides door manufacturers with all the components of the “Cross Tec | Classic” and “Cross Tec | Zero” thresholds as an assembly kit. Fabricators crop the profiles to length from a 6 m length in the usual way and then installs end caps and other accessories. No wet sealant is needed here either. The finished unit can be attached to the frame like usual.

New: butt hinge for smooth-rebate profiles

Butt hinges from the “Roto Solid B” series are often used for aluminium doors. They impress with a slimline design, variety of colour options, and hassle-free installation and adjustment. The “Roto Solid B | 224 A” two-part version for aluminium doors up to a leaf weight of 120 kg is now also available with a new mounting method: using blind rivet nuts in the smooth, groove-free rebate of the aluminium profile (smooth-rebate profile). This design was developed in collaboration with Austrian manufacturer G.S. Georg Stemeseder GmbH and is specifically tailored to their aluminium profile.

The 3D adjustment mechanism for lateral, height and gasket compression adjustment is integrated into the hinge roller on all butt hinges from the “Solid B” product line, so no gaps are formed and no axis offset occurs during hinge adjustment. This means that the attractive look of the butt hinge is always retained regardless of the hinge setting. At the same time, Roto flexibly adapts the butt hinges for aluminium to all types of aluminium profiles – regardless of whether these profiles have a clamping groove, smooth rebate or 16 mm hardware groove. By doing so, the door hardware specialist always has a technically compatible and easy-to-install solution for a wide variety of different profile systems.

New: cylinder-operated 3-latch lock

The new cylinder-operated “Roto Safe C | L300” multipoint lock will be added to the “Roto Safe” product range by the end of the year. This door lock offers noticeable operating convenience for external doors made from any frame material. Three latches secure the door leaf automatically and evenly at multiple points and ensure a reliable sealing closure even if the door warps due to the weather conditions. Just one turn of the key is all it takes to extend the main deadbolt and power wedges. The precisely coordinated main lock mechanisms ensure smooth locking and unlocking.

The 3-latch multipoint locking system is also designed for stringent security requirements. “Roto Safe C | L300” will be RC 2‑compatible and there are plans to have it SKG**-certified. Thanks to the extensions that are available, the system is suitable for door formats up to a leaf rebate height of 3000 mm. Fabricators benefit from the consistent system integration. The new 3-latch door lock can be combined with the proven Roto range of standard frame components, uses uniform routing patterns and standardised locking patterns, therefore reducing the installation effort, variety of different versions and inventory costs. The durability tested over 200,000 cycles is testament to the high quality and long-lasting reliability of the new cylinder-operated multipoint lock.

New: modular repair lock

Roto has announced that a modular repair lock will be launched in the summer of 2026. It is designed as a replacement for defective or outdated door locks and, depending on the frame side, makes it possible to replace standard systems from other suppliers, regardless of the manufacturer. The Roto product range will include lever handle-operated and cylinder-operated solutions. The main lock can be coupled with connection sets for various Roto additional locks.

Drop down seals from Deventer

Deventer offers a wide range of silicone, TPE and PVC seals for main entrance doors and balcony doors. These include state-of-the-art drop-down seals like the “DDS 1220”. No mounting brackets are needed for this self-regulating drop-down seal. All that can be seen on the external door is a premium aluminium track, which covers the black PVC seal. There is no need for visible metal or PVC brackets to protect against damage to the frame profile.

Door manufacturers can count on the proven Deventer drop down seals from the “DSF” (Deventer Sound

insulation and Fire protection) and “DSD” (Deventer Sound insulation Device) product groups to reliably achieve their sound insulation and smoke and fire protection objectives on internal and external doors. “DSF 1528”, “DSF 1530” and “DSD 1530” can be installed using mounting brackets or fastened directly from below using pre-inserted screws. Installation using screws is ideal for processing on stacked door leaves.
