Special components from Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH for what is known as a “comfort window” improve the operating convenience in certain installation situations and for people with disabilities.

Greater lever effect

The “comfort hardware” components include an extended window handle with an ergonomic shape. This is fitted to the bottom horizontal profile of the sash and improves the lever effect when the handle is operated. Its position means that it is easier to access if the user has to reach behind a piece of furniture or, for example, if a wheelchair user is unable to get to a higher handle.

Simpler opening and closing

The “comfort scissor stay” and a compatible espagnolette have also been developed specifically for this purpose. The scissor stay ensures that the window is noticeably easier to open and close. All three of these components and their installation positions are shown in the “comfort window” hardware template during the configuration process using “Roto Con Orders”.

For all profile systems with a 16 mm groove

Using the “Roto NX” hardware product range, “comfort windows” with the Tilt&Turn opening type can be produced. The components required for this are available for profile systems with a 16 mm groove made from any frame material.

Roto offers a ten-year performance warranty for all components of the “comfort hardware”. It is classified in accordance with DIN EN 13126-8. Tests have been performed and passed with sash weights of up to 50 kg so far.
