Strong partnership for a successful future
Novatech Group is one of the leading suppliers of doorglass, entry doors, residential glass, and sliding systems in Canada and a “manufacturing powerhouse,” as National Sales Manager Steven Veilleux says. The success story of the company, with more than 1,500 employees, began in Sainte-Julie (Québec), Canada.
In 1982, Raymond Ouellette founded a manufacturing plant for high-quality glazing and launched an improved facility just three years later. In addition, the entrepreneur opened a production facility for vinyl door profiles, frames, and leaves in 1989. By 1998, the production of sliding patio doors began, followed by the steel door panel in 2004. Today, the door production facility in Sainte-Julie covers approximately 200,000 square feet.

Sliding doors for all requirements
Novatech Group manufactures sliding patio doors in both vinyl and aluminum with nine product lines for architects and homeowners to choose from. “Each model can withstand the harshest Québec winters and the sweltering Florida summers,” emphasizes Veilleux. While Novatech’s products provide high thermal insulation and operating convenience, they also offer modern and classic designs. Therefore, Veilleux believes:
“At Novatech, everyone can find their perfect sliding patio door.”
More than 200 sliding patio door solutions are on display in the showrooms of Novatech’s retail partners in North America. In addition, Novatech showcases their solutions at home improvement stores such as BMR, Rona, Home Depot, and their company's showrooms in Sainte-Julie, Terrebonne, Toronto, and Calgary.

Innovation through customer proximity
“We are a very prominent and innovative leader in the market,” concludes Veilleux. With Innovation centers in Toronto (Ontario) and Beauceville (Québec) for sliding patio doors and one in Sainte-Julie (Québec) for entry doors, their engineering and marketing teams analyze trends and develop ENERGY STAR® and NFRC certified high-quality sliding patio and entry doors.
Novatech Group strives for 25 % of their annual sales to come from products developed in the past four years. “The success of our innovations, along with high customer satisfaction, is a key indicator that we’re aligned with market trends and meeting customer needs.”

Dynamic growth
Novatech Group’s capacity for sliding patio doors has grown rapidly over the last 20 years through several acquisitions. In 2010, Novatech Group acquired Resiver Patio Door. Steven Veilleux was the plant manager at the time and in July 2024, he was appointed National Sales Manager of Novatech Group. Today, the company manufactures sliding patio doors in six plants with a combined production area of 500,000 square feet and sells its doors throughout North America.
Ultrafab: Partner from the beginning
From the beginning, Novatech forged a partnership with weatherseal expert, Ultrafab, built on mutual trust and continuous growth. This collaboration continues to this day, with Novatech relying on Ultrafab’s easy-to-install extruded weatherseals for many of their products. They primarily use Ultrafab’s T-Slot extruded weatherseal with easy slide base for fast installation. This high-quality, UV stabilized seal offers excellent compression set resistance, superior weatherability, and chemical resistance.
In their Studio sliding door, Novatech utilizes the high-performing TRI-FIN® brush seal with ULTRA SOFT FIN® for maximum wind and rain impermeability. The TRI-FIN® brush seal has two external fins and one center fin that reduces air infiltration by 20% compared to a single center fin. The dimensionally stable polypropylene gasket base simplifies installation, and Ultrafab’s unique ultrasonic welding process joins the rib, bristles, and sealing base into a robust, break-proof unit. The pile fibers remain intact, preventing sticking, breaking, or losing shape.

Roto Fasco: A new partner with potential
In 2021, Novatech Group acquired Sunview in Toronto, where Roto Fasco Canada had already been a valued partner for over 25 years. Novatech recognized the supplier’s potential and continued the collaboration. Today, Roto Fasco Canada supplies Novatech Group with various handle solutions and accessories from its production facility in Mississauga (Ontario).
This includes the Roto Fasco Secura 9600 and 9900 handles, as well as the Look handle specifically designed for Novatech. “Thanks to its contemporary design, the 9900 has become our most successful handle,” reports Veilleux. “Its sleek appearance and variety of finishes have made it a favorite amongst customers.”
Veilleux is convinced:
“Roto Fasco Canada and Ultrafab play an integral role in the superior performance of our doors.”

“The durability and quality of both companies’ products is outstanding”, emphasizes Veilleux. “However, the high reliability and design expertise of Ultrafab and Roto Fasco are just as important.” Novatech Group understands that securing and expanding its reputation as a leader in quality and innovation requires the right partners.
“We award Ultrafab and Roto Fasco Canada the highest quality rating: 5 stars.”
Veilleux is confident that Novatech Group will make valuable contributions to high-quality architecture and the successful renovation of existing buildings in North America in the coming years. “We are committed to a sustainable future and satisfied homeowners. With Ultrafab and Roto Fasco, we’re well-positioned to achieve this goal.”
