New photovoltaic system at Deventer’s Breda site
In line with the Roto sustainability strategy, a photovoltaic system has been put into operation at Deventer’s Breda site (the Netherlands). “With this measure, we are reinforcing our commitment to an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient future and are clearly signifying our intention to reduce our ecological footprint,” explains Deventer Managing Director Mike Piqeur.
350 solar panels enable more sustainable energy generation
The new photovoltaic system in Breda boasts 350 solar panels which produce a power of approx. 170 kWp (kilowatt peak). This investment allows us to supply the facility with renewable energy, some of which is produced on site. The remaining demand is met by clean power. “In this way, we are not only reducing our ecological footprint, but are also helping our customers to become carbon-neutral,” explains Mike Piqeur.
The importance of the photovoltaic system for the Roto sustainability strategy
The commissioning of the photovoltaic system directly contributes to one of the four central action areas set out in the Roto sustainability strategy: the responsible use of energy and resources. This not only strengthens our environmental responsibility, but also reduces our reliance on external energy suppliers. In this way, we can ensure we have a reliable power supply in the long term and therefore offer our customers greater reliability.
