Five questions for Jordi Nadal, Sales Manager Roto Aluvision
Facades and building elements made of aluminium are often designed freely by ambitious architects. Metal fabricators then have to find technical solutions to ensure that the windows and facades function reliably. Here, our aluminium specialists offer special individual solutions. Jordi Nadal, sales manager of Roto Aluvision, describes what this involves and the benefits for window manufacturers.
Roto: Mr Nadal, how large does an order need to be for the developers at Aluvision to get involved in developing a special solution for facade manufacturers or metal constructors?
Jordi Nadal: The volume of an order isn’t the most important issue. The main thing is to provide the customer with a solution to the technical challenge they are facing. Sometimes the lack of a technical solution for even just a few windows can mean that an entire project is lost.
Roto: Developing a special solution sounds like a lot of effort. What can it involve?
Jordi Nadal: Every project starts with a vision and the desire to implement this vision in the best possible way. Roto Object Business is the perfect partner for this: we offer various modules which can ensure the optimum project implementation process. From module 1, technical consultation and development of solutions, to module 2, effective prototyping, through to module 3, efficient validation and certification, and module 4, production support. The after-sales service rounds off our concept.
Roto: What about the tests and approvals that are required if a special solution is found?
Jordi Nadal: We test and certify all solutions according to specified national and international standards and guidelines. Our customers can also be certain that hardware will operate correctly thanks to individual warranty extensions for their project solution.
Roto: What costs does the facade manufacturer incur for this work?
Jordi Nadal: We charge our customer for all costs associated with the development and manufacture of special solutions. But our customer isn’t always the facade manufacturer – sometimes it can even be the system designer.
Roto: For this sort of technical support, what timeframe should metal constructors allow for?
Jordi Nadal: We are committed to providing information on feasibility and the technical solution as well an approximate cost estimate within 48 hours. If the customer approves this, we then submit a complete offer within one week, providing specific pricing and lead times.
