The world's first building with a façade made entirely from recycled aluminium
The forward-looking Innovationsbogen (innovation arch) in the south of the Augsburg Innovation Park is located directly at the interface of science, research and business. The 145 metre long, arch-shaped office building with a total area of 14,800 m2 is the world's first building with a façade made entirely from recycled aluminium.
Sustainable components such as photovoltaic systems mounted on the roof, air conditioning through special heating and cooling sails, district heating, utilisation of cooling energy from the groundwater and extensive roof greening are central components of the progressive energy concept.
