Deventer wins the Reynaers Supplier Award 2024

And it’s precisely these values which are at the heart of the long-standing partnership between our companies.” This is how Deventer Managing Director Mike Piqeur describes the key elements of the seal specialist’s collaboration with Reynaers Aluminium, one of the world’s leading system suppliers of aluminium facades and windows. The two companies established their fruitful partnership back in 2015.

Reynaers follows a clear sustainability strategy. The company’s profile designs make it possible to separate aluminium, seal, hardware and glass without leaving any residue behind. This is where the Deventer seals made from thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) play an important role. They replace conventional EPDM products with TPE alternatives which are more sustainable because they can be recycled. The TPE seals have also been awarded the VOC A+ certificate, which is mandatory in France. This test certificate issued by ift Rosenheim confirms that Deventer products do not cause any harmful emissions.
TPE offers impressive advantages
The main benefit of TPE seals is that they are suitable for thermoplastic processing and therefore also recycling. Thanks to the almost unlimited compounding alternatives, TPE sealing profiles can be tailored to the specific application in order to meet the customer’s requirements. TPEs also offer window and door manufacturers a great deal of flexibility when it comes to the colour schemes for their building elements. The advantage for end users is that it is possible to precisely define the locking characteristics of windows and doors and therefore the user’s subjective operating experience.
Operational Excellence
Piqeur is pleased to receive the award in the “Operational Excellence” category, seeing it as “special recognition of our performance”. The Supplier Award 2024 was presented by Eddy De Meier, Category Manager at Reynaers.
A total of 250 companies were assessed in 20 different categories, of which “Operational Excellence” is the toughest. The rating was decided by criteria including delivery service, meeting deadlines, flexibility, quality, logistics performance, including exact adherence to delivery slots, and an efficient order service.
Upcoming joint projects
The seal specialist also sees the award it achieved as encouragement to continue on its path of excellence. With this in mind, further joint projects are in the pipeline. De Meier and Piqeur are certain of one thing: “We are collaborating more and more all the time, and this continuously improves the joint services we offer. Reynaers and Deventer turn window manufacturers into climate protectors.”
