Roto Inside 29 (EN) - ENTERDOORS by ISI: designer PVC main entrance doors

| 11 The ENTERDOORS line’s ‘Cartesio’ model is externally lined with tempered glass lacquered on the reverse side, which if desired can be illuminated with LED technology. About half of all ENTERDOORS main doors leave the ISI production area with lining consisting of tempered glass lacquered on the reverse side, 35 per cent with Kerlite® compos- ites and 15 per cent with HPL composites (high pressure laminate). Mattia, Enrico and Andrea Baggio (from left to right) will gradually take over responsibility from their fathers for the window and door manufacturer ISI, in the northern Italian commune of San Martino di Lupari, in the coming years. They, together with around thirty employees, remain focussed on innovations, continuing on from company founders Maurizio (left in picture) and Mario Baggio. Designer PVC main entrance doors ENTERDOORS by ISI ■■ Door Mario and Maurizio Baggio, founders of the window and door manufacturer ISI in the northern Italian commune of San Martino di Lupari, have every reason to smile. Three young men are destined to gradually take over responsibility for their successful com- pany: in marketing, Andrea Baggio, 30 years old and a qualified management expert; in export, Enrico Baggio, 23 years old and also a management expert; and in production as well as quality management, Mattia Baggio, 25 years old and an engineer. Mario and Maurizio Baggio initially founded the company in 1982 as a craft business under the name ‘M.B. Serramenti’. ISI, Industria Serra- menti Italiana, was founded in January 1996 and represented the entry into industrial manufactur- ing. The family business, with its approximately thirty employees, is focussed on innovations. “We want our products to be clearly well above-average, both technically and aesthetical- ly”, says Andrea Baggio for instance and adds: “This is also demonstrated by our new main en- trance door line under the ENTERDOORS brand, which we developed together with the designer Nevio Tellatin.” Main doors in Italian design In 2012, the Baggio family made the decision to invest in the establishment of this line and thus in PVC main entrance doors that differed from those commercially available both with respect to insulation and aesthetics. “We spent two years testing designs, selecting materials for the surface-finish and assigning all the relevant function and security tests”, remembers Andrea Baggio. “In March 2014, we were then able to present the ENTERDOORS line at fensterbau/ frontale in Nuremberg.” This brand’s main en- trance doors impressed with both their puristic design as well as their thermal insulation and security standard, up to security class RC 3. Strong. Solid. Beautiful. “We are proud that with our ENTERDOORS brand, we are able to offer aesthetically pleasing main doors with 82 mm-thick PVC profiles and panels. All standard doors achieve a thermal insulating value, Ud, of 0.75 W/(m²K) thanks to the insulated panel manufactured exclusively for ENTERDOORS as well as the triple sealed sash and frame. We have also developed a specially reinforced inner panel, which is installed as standard in all RC 3 model doors. This panel allowed us to manufacture a product that passes the tests for resistance to attempted break-ins in accordance with DIN EN 1627-1630:2011”, ex- plains Mattia Baggio. To line the ENTERDOORS main doors, ISI exclusively uses materials such as Kerlite® or tempered glass lacquered on the reverse side. The company uses high-quality materials down to the last detail: customised stainless steel handles, designed by Nevio Tellatin, are manufactured for every door. “The materials’ exclusivity and the minimalist design clearly distinguish ENTERDOORS main doors from most other PVC doors available in Italy”, emphasizes Mattia Baggio proudly. “However, we rely on cooperation with regional tradesmen and leading suppliers for all components in order to implement our product range. For example, we obtain door locks and hinges from Roto.” Certified security Given that ISI has been cooperating closely with its partner Roto since 2001 and has been able to gain good experience with the Roto NT range in window production, it was only natural that ENTERDOORS development would also entail consideration of the Roto Door range and its op- tions. “Our customers know that we work with Roto and consider this to be an indication of the quality of our windows and doors.” Ultimately, in the Roto ITC in Leinfelden even the newly developed main entrance doors underwent tests for resistance to attempted break-ins in accordance with DIN EN 1627-1630:2011. “We wanted to demonstrate that the ENTERDOORS line models are an aesthetically pleasing, secure alternative to the Italian standard metal security doors, whose design often leaves a lot to be de- sired. That’s why we concentrated on designing very secure as well as beautiful PVC doors.” This has actually resulted in a continuous increase in demand for ENTERDOORS models in RC 3. “The market understands and appreciates our claim”, says Mattia Baggio with satisfaction. Innovative lining and puristic design The most successful model in the product range is called ‘Cartesio’ and adorns the cover page of the ENTERDOORS product brochure: the tempered glass lacquered on the reverse side, which lines the outer side of this main entrance door, can be back-lit using LED technology if desired. “These days, about half of all main doors leave our production area with glass linings, 35 per cent with Kerlite® composites and 15 per cent with HPL (high pressure laminate) composites”, informs Mattia Baggio. Internal and external individuality An ENTERDOORS main door can be configured and calculated online at enterdoors.it/ configuratore/. “Our aim was to offer a very wide range of possible designs”, explains Andrea Baggio, “as Italians have very different specific regional preferences regarding main entrance door designs. This means that our customers can freely select the door’s external and internal appearance independently of each other. This distinguishes us from the vast majority of com- petitors in the market.” HPL enables the interior view of the main door to be adapted to almost any timber finish, such as that of interior doors. The second generation of ISI entrepreneurs also wants to focus on remaining competitive primarily with innovative concepts. A profes- sional service for building element dealers and architects additionally helps to ensure the company’s continued existence. “Our aim is not to offer the cheapest product, but to offer the most cost-effective product and provide all-round service from a single source”, explains Andrea Baggio. Every customer has a single contact, from the offer through to invoicing. “We naturally also ensure satisfaction with highly transparent offers as well as deadline and deliv- ery reliability”, says Enrico Baggio, “but, these days, customers take this for granted”. 20-year guarantee ISI provides reliable window and door main- tenance and repair for a guaranteed period of 20 years – a commitment that also applies to the ENTERDOORS line’s innovative main entrance doors. “Anyone who is impressed by ENTERDOORS will also enjoy long-term satisfac- tion and a fully functional door at all times. That’s what ISI as well as the Baggio family continues to stand for.” ISI, Industria Serramenti Italiana, was founded in January 1996 and represented brothers Mario and Maurizio Baggio’s entry into industrial window production. The family business, with its approximately thirty employees, is focussed on innovations. In 2012, the Baggio family made the decision to invest in the development of an in-house PVC main entrance door line. The Kerlite® trademark refers to 3 mm-thick, extremely robust, weather resistant, easy-to-clean and attractive stoneware plates, which can optionally be used as an optimal lining to decorate ENTERDOORS line’s main entrance doors.
