General information for applicants

Apply conveniently and easily via our Roto Job Portal. You can use the "Upload" button to upload your documents (CV, etc.). Your master data is automatically recognised and assigned to the correct fields in the form, so that you have fewer entries to make. Please avoid sending us paper applications.

So that we can assess your application as well as we can, we need your cover letter, a CV in table format and other informative documents that are relevant to the specific position, such as reports, references and certificates of additional qualifications. For students, an up-to-date transcript of records is useful.

The following file formats are possible: Word (doc, docx), PDF, JPG, PNG and GIF. A single document must be no more than 15 MB in size. Please do not upload any password-protected or write-protected PDF or Word documents.

You will receive confirmation of receipt after you send your application. As soon as we receive your application, the HR department and the relevant specialist department will review it thoroughly. It goes without saying that we will treat all your data as confidential and it will be processed in accordance with the statutory data protection guidelines.

We store your application electronically and process it in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

After immediate confirmation of receipt, you will usually receive a response from us within 14 days.
Since your application documents will be screened by our HR department and then examined by the relevant specialist department, the selection process may take a little longer. In this case, we will notify you by interim response.

In a face-to-face interview with us, you should be prepared for general questions about yourself and select parts of your CV. We are also interested in hearing about the specialist knowledge you would bring to the position you have chosen and why you decided to apply to Roto. We would be happy to answer any questions you have about Roto, your career prospects, your tasks and the team you will be a part of.

Your cover letter should not go into too much detail and should fit on a single page of A4 paper. State the exact name of the position you are applying for (or, for speculative applications, the field you are interested in) and explain why you are interested in this position and why you are the right person for this position and our company.

We think that it is important for CVs to be clearly structured and in table format. Provide an explanation of any gaps in your CV (e.g. “unemployed”, “raising children”, “application phase”). A photo is not mandatory but we like to get an initial impression of you as a Person.

We recommend that you include your school-leaving certificate and your training certificate or your degree certificate. References from your previous employers are also important.
