In addition to the completely concealed premium solution “NT Designo” for aluminium profiles with a 16 mm hardware groove presented in Nuremberg, the company also offers a basic version of the system. This is a visible hinge side with screwable hardware parts which enable an opening distance of up to 180° and which is suitable for sash weights up to 100 kg. The standard alternative provides unrestricted compatibility to the “modular NT Tilt&Turn system” and offers, among other things, visual advantages due to the broad range of colours of the cover caps available. At the same time, “useful details” reportedly provide for flexible, secure and stable window designs. These include a glass-fibre reinforced, clip-on PVC extension for the rebate corner hinge. Roto explains the effect as follows: If a collision with the corner connector in the aluminium profile occurs, the lower of the screws required for fastening the zinc diecast angle can easily be secured at a different location. Otherwise, the PVC extension can also be utilised when using a turn restrictor. In summary, this rebate corner hinge component therefore makes a real contribution to economical window production and/or installation.
