Roto Outward Opening Friction Hinges

Roto Outward Opening Friction Hinges

Stainless-Steel Scissor stays for Outward Opening Windows

With outward opening windows, multi-linked scissor stays, which connect the sash to the frame, are called friction hinges. They both limit the possible opening angle of the window and ensure that the sash is held open in any opening angle. As a result, friction hinges ensure that the window sash can be continually moved and monitored.

We offer three different friction hinges for different sash weight, height and width:

  • Defender
all-purpose scissor stay for lighter sashes up to a maximum of 35 kg (Top-Hung) or 24 kg (Side-Hung). It is particularly suitable for use in timber or PVC windows
  • Storm
High-performance scissor stay for increased impermeability and load-bearing capacity for maximum sash weights of 120 kg (Top-Hung) or 47 kg (Side-Hung)
  • Sterling
Balanced high-performance scissor stay with integrated turn-restrictor for maximum sash weights of 180 kg (Top-Hung) or 55 kg (Side-Hung)
