Security for Windows and Doors

Relax and feel good – and what better place to do that than in the comfort of your own home? But an inviting home can also attract unwanted guests. In Germany for example, according to police crime statistics the number of burglaries increased in 2010 to as much as 123,000.

This corresponds to a 6.6 per cent rise compared with the previous year and means that a private home in Germany is the scene of a burglary approximately every four minutes. At the same time, the clear-up rate is only just under 16 per cent – perpetrators are seldom caught.

In around half of all residential home burglaries, the perpetrators gain access through windows or balcony doors – often in a matter of seconds and using the simplest of means. But their entrance can be barred. Even a few security measures are sufficient to effectively deter an intruder.
