For a long time now, the concept of barrier-free building and living hasn't just been restricted to the disabled persons target group.

Rather, the basic idea behind it is to enable everyone to be able to enjoy living without restrictions and as independently as possible. This also includes people whose mobility or activities are limited only temporarily.

However, the comfort aspect of barrier-free living benefits all target groups. For example, hard-to-reach windows can be made easier to open by installing a special system, or those “notorious” trip hazards on terrace or balcony doors can be avoided by using barrier-free thresholds.
